Soliciting comments

I got a comment yesterday on flickr

"very cute shot...come check out my photostream and comment."

I gotta say these comments drive me NUTS!

After reading it, the LAST thing I want to do it go comment.

Now I've only had a couple like that, but still.

Once and a while I get the

"come check out my blog"

I can handle that,

and typically I think any comment deserves a return comment.

(yes I know I'm not good at actually doing that, but at least I think it,

and it's the thought that counts right?)

But to come right out and ask for a comment?

Are we getting a little desperate?

Please tell me I'm not the only one totally turned off

by someone out right soliciting comments.
