something old something new

For some reason, I've had the itch lately to make Coralee some new dresses

out of old clothes.

I started with this dress, it was one my sister in law was trying to sell at our garage sale.

This is the front:

This is the back.
Then I went at it with scissors, and the sewing machine.
Coralee was not happy about trying it on at the time,
I'll have to try and get some better photos of it later.
this is how it came out.
Not quite as cute as I imagined
(I pictured the skirt part a little shorter and fuller)
but pretty cute none the less.
Sewing sure is fun!
I just wish the kids would allow me to do it a little more often.
