word{full} wednesday
We know, no one.
It's been almost two months, and we're still feeling very alone.
One of our neighbors has a boy Coralee's age,
and we usually chat while the kids are riding around on their bikes.
It's a HUGE blessing, but at the same time,
It's a HUGE blessing, but at the same time,
it's pretty sad that she is the closest thing to a friend that I have right now.
What I would give for couples date night right now.
What I would give for a babysitter!
Church hunting isn't going well either.
We found a church that we liked for a number of reason,
but after three weeks, we have yet to be introduced to anybody.
We literally, don't even know the first name of a single person there.
Seriously discouraging.
And so the church hunt goes on.
Before this becomes THE most depressing post in blog history,
let me show you some positives.
Turn that frown upside down and let me tell you about the beauty that is New England.
There are Lady Slippers EVERYWHERE!
They are the Minnesota state flower, protected by law, yet I never saw one until now.
Beautiful state parks are around every corner (almost as frequent as dunkin doughnuts).
And Boston!
Boston is a beautiful & fun city.
So, no, it's not ALL bad.
Just socially depressing at the moment.
it must be so hard to be away from where you grew up. Keep up your spirit... you'll meet some great friends soon :)
ReplyDeleteHaving moved a few times, I totally understand. I have realized now that it takes a while to form new friendships. But it can be so very hard in the meantime. We went to our church for two years before we made a friend there! It can be difficult when everyone else seems to know everyone.
ReplyDeleteI hope things start looking up soon!
I'm sorry; it's tough when you don't know anyone. Just keep in mind that it will not always be that way. Maybe it'll just take a little longer to meet people. Great pics!
