Big changes
This is where I spent last weekend....
Actually, all these photos are just from Sunday at the coast.
Plum Island in Newburyport, MA to be exact.
Try to tell me this isn't absolutely gorgeous!
So, what on earth were John and I doing in New England?
Besides getting up at 5am (on daylight savings time, so it felt like 4am)
to watch the sun rise over the ocean....
Besides seeing coyotes and snowy owls....
Besides collecting shells for Coralee and Haakon.....
Besides eating awesome food at Ray's seafood....
and enjoying some time without the two 'big' kids.....
Mainly we were there to look at houses.
That's right we're moving!
In just a couple weeks,
we'll be hauling all our stuff half way across the country
from Minnesota to New Hampshire.
and now here we go again.
Only this time, we are committing to settling down.
We have about a year and a half before Coralee starts kindergarten,
so we plan on spending the next year renting, while we figure out a good neighborhood
and school district, to eventually buy in.
And that will be the END of moving for (hopefully) a very long time.
Never in my life have I had such strong opposing feelings about something.
New Hampshire (all of New England really) is so beautiful, with so many fun things to do.
I still get four seasons, there are mountains, the ocean, and some really cool cities, all reasonably close by.
It's amazing.
BUT
It's half way across the country from my entire family :(
The kids will be half way across the country from all of their cousins,
and their Grandma and Grandpa.
It's absolutely heartbreaking.
I'm so excited to go, and at the same time,
I so badly want to stay.
