Design help!!!!

Yall' (yeah, I said 'yall' so what.)  
are waaay more talented in this department than I am,
(Ahem* Chelsey I might be thinking specifically of you...maybe.)
so I need your HELP!

I got this table

(who just celebrated her 80th birthday!)

It needs *something*
I've decided to repaint it, and cover the bottom in fabric.
I've narrowed the fabric down to these two choices.

What I need from you is

WHAT FABRIC?
and
WHAT COLOR SHOULD I PAINT IT?

    Ok I am not talented in this department but here's my opinion for what it's worth. I think you should paint it green and go with the second fabric. That's just my thought. Make sure you show us the finished product. :)

    My vote is painting it dark brown and going with the second fabric. :)

    I vote pale gray with the first fabric. DEFINITELY the first fabric. ;)

    I say paint it yellow and go with the first fabric or paint it red and go with the second.
