moving week....
Moving week (take 2).
It was just over a month ago I was updating about our last move.
Hopefully THIS update will the the last for a while.
Coralee LOVES her big (half) brother, she'll do anything to make him laugh.
Including;
throwing box scraps and toys down the stairs while mommy cleans and gets ready for the movers.*
*(movers!!!!! Praise God, John's new company paid for movers.
I'm not sure we would have been able to do it all ourselves again)
While the movers packed up, we took the train downtown to target Field with Coralee's BFF.
She misses him already.
Every morning, when she starts to fight me about not wanting to wear jeans,
I just remind her that he wears jeans, and she'll happily put them on ;)
While the movers worked their magic unpacking, we explored a nearby park.
there isn't much to it....
but, it's enough to keep the kids happy!
especially THIS part!
It spins, and it spins fast.
Coralee could sit on this all day,
Haakon.....he falls off after a minute.
See the new back yard?
PRETTY!
Pretty has some drawbacks though.
remember my GREAT photo lighting in out last place?
All these trees make for NO natural lighting in this house,
it's a bummer!
Hopefully once all the leaves fall, well get some light.
There is a small wetland behind us, so our yard is always damp,
making mushrooms run wild!
(lots of mosquitos too)
The knot in this tree reminds me of something from Pan's labyrinth.
It's a good thing we're okay with child labor,
because there is lots of work to do around here.
(I'm WAY behind on reading / commenting and photos challenges,
hopefully I'll get back into my routine this week.)
***(Coralee turns three tomorrow!!***
um, are those orangish-redish things ANTS??? Oh my goodness, please kill them quickly!!! Other than those, I love your new backyard! Look at how green your grass is!
ReplyDeleteWoah I had no idea there would be pictures up so fast. i thought I would have to wait awhile! This looks like a GREAT home Maria! ( but maybe you just fooled me with your mad camera skills)
