Where MY money goes.

There are many great causes out there. So many people doing great work to spread God's love, while providing basic life needs. This is who I support, who I choose to give my money to...

This is me (on the left), I was in the Dominican Republic digging a trench to bring

running water to

THIS building. Along with trench digging,

we poured all most of the cement columns on the upper level.

This is that same building about two years and a hurricane later.

We went back to build a small staff building.

So what is this place?

This is The Arc, of Kids Alive international, a children's home for orphan, and at risk children of the Dominican republic. The ark now has eight of these buildings (all in different colors, SO cute!) a chapel, and awesome play areas for all the kids. Each house has a 'house mom, and a house dad' to care for the kids in that home. This gives the children a great sense of family. They are also very good at raising the kids to become capable adults, who are able to enter the workforce.

Currently the Ark is being challenged, because of it's close proximity to Haiti, they have been communicating with the Haitian government and will be expecting a wave of more children to enter their facilities as soon as Wednesday. More on all they are doing, HERE.
